How To Guides

Inviting Contributors

Begin by reviewing the Settings at the top of your screen.

Here, you’ll find a text box where you can write a personal message to your contributors. We highly recommend doing this—your message will appear in the invitation email, reassuring recipients that it’s genuinely from you, not an automated or promotional message.

Use this space to provide helpful context: mention the occasion being celebrated, any upcoming in-person events, or details about a group gift if one is being arranged.

Next, choose whether the board will be private or public. By default, all boards are private—only contributors who receive their personal email link will be able to access it.

If you'd prefer the link to be shared more freely—on social media, WhatsApp, or email—you can set the board to public, allowing anyone with the link to view and contribute.

You can return to this settings panel at any time to purchase a bolt-on for 25 additional contributors, if needed.

Now it’s time to invite people to your board.

Click on ‘Add Contributors’ to open the invitation screen.

You can either enter individual email addresses or paste a list into the field—just remember to press Enter after each one. Then, click ‘Invite Contributors’ to send out the emails.

Once invited, contributors will appear in your Invited list. As they submit their messages, their names will move to the Contributed list, so you can easily track progress.

If needed, you can deactivate someone’s personal link by selecting ‘Delete’ from the Invited list.

If your board is set to Public, you can also copy the shareable link to use in social posts, WhatsApp, or other platforms like Teams or Slack.

Before closing your board, we recommend reviewing your contributors’ posts to ensure they reflect the tone and sentiment you envisioned.

You can do this by previewing the full board or checking individual contributions via the Settings.

If any post feels out of place, you have the option to delete it and invite the contributor to submit a revised message

Once you’re happy with the final collection, you can manually deliver the board to your recipient—marking the moment with something truly meaningful.
